Revisión 550 [Fiat CR.42 CN Falco Night Fighter – Italeri 1/72]

Reedición de la versión nocturna del Fiat CR.42 desaparecida desde hace mucho. La caja trae de hecho dos variantes: el CN italiano y el alemán LW, que no son idénticos. Así que esta edición es efectivamente un 2×1. El detalle es en general tan bueno como en la primera ocasión, destacando la carlinga y el motor. La reproducción de la estructura en las alas queda algo por debajo, pero al modelista todoterreno le va a dar lo mismo. Calcas de Cartograf excelentes y múltiples acabados redondean una caja que todavía se puede adquirir sin que cueste un disparate, como ocurre con tanta bacalá que hay por ahí.♦

Reissue of the long-lost Fiat CR.42 night fighter. The kit actually comes with two variants: the Italian CN and the German LW, which are not identical. So this release is effectively a two-for-one. Detail is generally as good as on the first kits, with the cockpit and engine being particularly outstanding. The reproduction of the wing structure is below the rest, but the hardened modeler won’t care. Excellent Cartograf decals and multiple paint finishes round out a release that is still a good value for money, contrary to so many other infamous kits out there.♦
