Revisión 602 [Carro Armato P40 Italian Heavy Tank – Italeri 1/35]

Tal vez no hubiésemos visto el paso de la resina al plástico de este carro de no ser por la maqueta de Italeri en 2009. Esta caja es una reedición de aquella con todo igual,  salvo la pérdida del valioso folleto de referencia que la marca incluyó durante un tiempo en sus nuevos moldes y que no creo que volvamos a ver. Montaje asequible para la gran mayoría, mejoras incluidas (hay fotograbados pejigueras, pero no todos) y unas cadenas desgraciadas por las marcas de eyector. Múltiples accesos y tapas se pueden poner abiertos para no ver nada porque está vacío por dentro. La pintura a base de camuflaje tricolor es para lucirse. La copia de Tamiya sale menos a cuenta porque vale media gónada y además el cañón de aluminio se vende aparte.♦

We might not have seen this tank transition from resin to plastic were it not for Italeri’s 2009 kit. This box is a reissue of that one, with everything the same except for the loss of the valuable reference booklet that the brand used to include with their new tools then, and which I doubt we’ll ever see again. Assembly is accessible to most modellers, with upgrades included (there are some annoying photo-etched parts, but not all of them), and the tracks are marred by ejector pin marks. Multiple covers and hatches can be left open, but the interior is empty. The three-color camouflage paint job will help the modeller to show his skill. Tamiya’s copy is less worthwhile because it costs a fortune, and the aluminum gun is sold separately.♦
