Revisión 409 [Austin K2/Y Ambulance – Airfix 1/35]

Airfix se marcó un tanto con esta ambulancia que no teníamos en plástico, pero la anunció con tanta antelación, que a Gecko Models le dio tiempo a hacer su propia maqueta y hasta ponerle la figura de la entonces Princesa Elizabeth (hoy reina difunta). Esta K2/Y está bien copiada por dentro y fuera, salvo algunos detalles mejorables, y permite mostrar el interior. Es sencilla de montar e incluso asequible para los que aún están algo verdes porque no nacieron, como otros benditos de los dioses, con una Tamiya bajo el brazo ni conocen a ningún autoproclamado «máster» de la cosa. Mejor para ellos.♦

Airfix hit the nail with this ambulance that we didn’t have in plastic, but they announced it so in advance that Gecko Models had time to release their own kit and even include the figure of the then Princess Elizabeth (now the late Queen) on it. This K2/Y is nicely rendered inside and out, except for some details that could be improved, and allows the interior to be shown. It is easy to assemble and even suitable for those who are still a little green because they were not born, like others blessed of the gods, with a Tamiya under their arm nor they know any self-proclaimed «master» of the matter. So much the better for them.♦
