- 6-page A4 brochure printed in color. It shows a short historical summary about the aircraft and 20 assembly steps. The back side of the box shows profiles in color and references from Humbrol enamel paints.
LO MEJOR – THE BEST:
- Muy buen detalle externo. Carlinga. Pozos de las ruedas. Cubierta de la carlinga en dos piezas. Buena relación calidad-precio.
- Very nice external detail. Cockpit. Wheel wells. Two-piece canopy. Good value for money.
LO PEOR – THE WORST:
- Algunas marcas visibles en el interior de los pozos.

VALORACIÓN – CONCLUSION:
- Muy buena maqueta de un Hurricane inicial y alternativa a otras con más detalle pero destinadas a modelistas experimentados.

La maqueta
La maqueta es idéntica a la del Hawker Hurricane Mk.I (referencia A02067) revisada en esta web hace un tiempo. El número de bastidores y piezas es el mismo, pero la hoja de calcas es distinta y las instrucciones varían ligeramente.
La caja en esta ocasión es más pequeña porque Airfix la incluyó en su serie más básica, que suele traer sólo una versión de pintura. El aparato representado en ella es un Mk. I con alas enteladas y hélice tripala Rotol incorporado a las fuerzas británicas que tomaron parte en la Batalla de Francia en 1940.
Calcas
La hoja es de menor tamaño e incluye escarapelas y marcas británicas, matrículas, el panel de instrumentos, insignias de unidad y algunos estarcidos. Los motivos están bien impresos con apariencia fina y acabado mate. No muestran exceso de soporte.
Instrucciones
El folleto tiene tamaño A4 y consta de seis páginas impresas a color. Contiene una breve reseña histórica sobre el avión y veinte capítulos de montaje. Los perfiles a color se muestran en la cara posterior de la caja. Los colores poseen códigos de pinturas Humbrol esmalte.
El avión reproducido muestra el clásico camuflaje británico del momento para los cazas diurnos (Temperate Land Scheme) con las superficies inferiores pintadas de negro y blanco y escarapelas en ellas, que en principio sólo llevaban los aviones basados en Francia. Los códigos aparecen en color Medium Sea Grey.
Valoración
Como en la primera edición, sólo cabe decir que esta maqueta es igual de buena y también una opción para los que prefieren no bregar con piezas de fotograbado o resina. También me parece ideal para los noveles o menos experimentados.◊
The kit
This is a rebox of the same kit already reviewed on this webwite some time ago (Hawker Hurricane Mk.I (reference A02067). Both the number of sprues and parts are the same, with the obvious change in the decal sheet and the instructons, which are partially different.
The box is smaller this time as Airfix have included it in their basic series, which usually includes only one paint version. The aircraft is an early Hurricane Mk. I with tapered wings and a Rotol three-bladed propeller that took part in the Battle of France in 1940.
Decals
The sheet is smaller in this release and includes British roundels and markings, registers, the instrument panel, unit badges and a few stencils. Decals are well printed and apparently thin. They have a matt finish and do not show excess of carrier film.
Instructions
The A4 brochure has six pages printed in color. It shows a short historical summary about the fighter and twenty assembly steps. The profiles in color are shown on the back of the box. Colors are given in Humbrol enamel codes.
The only choice is for a Mk. I painted in Temperate Land Scheme, the usual RAF day fighter scheme in the early stages of WWII with black/white undersides and roundels on the bottom sides of wings as correspond to the aircraft fighting in France. The decal codes have a Medium Sea Gray color.
Conclusion
As in the first release, one can only say this kit is just as nice and also a good choice for those who dislike PE and resin pieces. I think it is also quite suitable for both the newbie and the less experienced modellers.◊
